Ontario - Moxie ARPH #11864  Ontario - Moxie ARPH #11864 Minimize

Please help Moxie ARPH #11864 (Ontario)...

Meet Moxie #11864 This handsome boy is called Moxie.  He is about one year old.  Why has he ended up in rescue at such a young age, you ask? Sadly, Moxie was hit by a car.  His owners left him at the vet  to be euthanized because they could not afford the operation to fix his leg.  The vet asked them if they would release Moxie to him so he could contact rescue to see if we could help. Since then Moxie's leg has been operated on and he has been moved to foster care.  He is doing very well.  Recovery is slow but soon Moxie will be well enough to run and play with his foster brother and sister.

Moxie has a huge vet bill to pay for.. will you please help?

West Virginia - Burl ARPH #11391  West Virginia - Burl ARPH #11391 Minimize

Please help Burl ARPH #11391 (West Virginia)...

Poor Burl ARPH #11391 is a young Aussie who's had a rough start in his short life.  He came to use badly underweight with a mouth full of porucupine quills and a diagnosis of Lyme disease.  As if that weren't enough, Burl seems to have suffered an injury to his left hind leg sometime in the past, which has resulted in severe degenerative joint disease in his hip.  In order for Burl to enjoy the kind of activity Aussies need and love without enduring severe pain, he will need to undergo hip replacement surgery.

We think Burl is about a year old (his growth plates are closed) and we'd like to see him live his life to the fullest, without a painful disability.  He badly wants to be active and does his best with three good legs.  He is a friendly and affectionate fellow who has yet to meet a stranger - neither dog nor human - and he's made quite an impact on the veterinary staff who've worked with him.  Burl is also a tennis ball afficionado and, like a typical teenager, he has a penchant for redecorating his foster mom's basement (she's working on redirecting that behavior).  He plays tag with his foster sister Jo, a border collie, and he has dreams of someday being able to join in the body slamming fun of his foster brother Moose, but that won't be happening until after his surgery and he's healed.

The surgery and associated costs are estimated to be between $5200. and $5600., and we can use all the help we can get.

Won't you help Burl get better?

Burl sends lots of Aussie kisses to his sponsors:

Florida - Molly ARPH #11996  Florida - Molly ARPH #11996 Minimize

Please help Molly ARPH #11996 (Florida)...

Meet Molly ARPH #11996.  Unsinkable Molly Brown should be this girl’s name.  Molly is a 5 y/o black tri female who has suffered a torn tendon at her foster home in a freak accident.  Molly was playing ball when another foster dog bowled her over and the tendon tore.  Molly has had the tendon repaired and now must wait 2-3 months for everything to heal before beginning rehab therapy.

The prognosis is good for healing and getting movement back in the leg.  But the vet expenses are quite high.  Molly has a great spirit and hops on 3 legs, following her foster parents all around the house.  Molly would love to send kisses and Aussie wiggles to those who will sponsor her.

Won't you please help us pay for Molly's vet care?

Molly would like to thank her sponsors:

Indiana - Beccan ARPH #12067 and Banyon ARPH #12221  Indiana - Beccan ARPH #12067 and Banyon ARPH #12221 Minimize

Please help Beccan ARPH #12067 and Banyon ARPH #12221 (Indiana)...

Hi everyone, our names are Beccan (meaning little) and Banya (meaning whiteness).  We where born on March 29th and are part of nine puppies.  We have the best mommy ever and she is taking real good care of us, believe it we know how to find the food and are good little eaters.  We also have a fun foster mom who likes to cuddle and play with us, we are so lucky to have two mom's to care for us.  Our mommy Zoey is a very pretty red merle we've been told.  We never met our dad but we are being told he must have been a real nice looking red merle also as we have a whole lot of pretty white coloring on us and I guess that is what happens when two merle dogs get together to have cute little pups like us.

Our foster mom says she wants to take us for some very special tests.  She would like for someone to look in our eyes and ears because they may be very special.  We are not sure what she means as we think we are just fine.  So we will let her explain it to you.

Little Beccan and Banya are two special little pups.  Of the group of nine pups they are the two most in need of hearing and vision testing, although a couple of the other pups could also benefit as they too have a bit too much white around their eyes and ears.  Banya seems to be able to see from one eye but the other is smaller and most likely has no vision.  Beccan seems to see shadows but at 4 weeks it is a little early to tell.  Neither Beccan or Banya seems to be reacting to noise at this time but again it is a little early.  I would love to be able to get vision and hearing tests on both of these little girls to help aid in placing them with the right family and also give their new families a head start on understanding the exact extent of these little girls needs.  These two girls eat, play and have fun with all the rest of the pups.  They are growing and learning with the pack and do not show any signs of any other physical problems.  They also love human touch and belly rubs are wonderful.  They will need a little extra support to get their testing, so if you have a place in your heart for these pups who had no control over their parents breeder please consider donating to help them live a long and happy life.

Beccan and Banya are currently residing happily in Indiana with the rest of their sibling and their mommy Zoey.

Please help us give them the vet care they need

These two send lots of puppy breath to their sponsors:
